cardiac arrest info!
Basically, cardiac arrest, also known as cardiorespiratory arrest, cardiopulmonary arrest or circulatory arrest, is the abrupt cessation of normal circulation of the blood due to failure of the heart to contract effectively during systole. Immediate treatment for cardiac arrest involves cardiopulmonary resuscitation to help keep blood pumping. A shock from either an automated external defibrillator or an implantable cardioverter defibrillator is also necessary to shock the heart back to normal rhythm.
