We all know that decorative candles are rarely cheap, and when they’ve burned down, your investment has burned up. But, you can’t help to light one over your bathroom vanities every time you get in. So, for a more affordable glow just buy plain pillar candles and embellish them with thumbtacks and pushpins. Simply slide a rubber band around the candle to act as a guide, then stick in the pins to form a border at the candle’s base. Take note for a clean look, limit yourself to one or two colors then remove band. This is one simple way to save money while enjoying your favorite lighted candles.
