Last week, my finances got too tight. This is still due to the many expenses I incurred during the Holidays. It sounds like a long ago, but still it has an effect on me. I can’t forget the post I made on cash handling, but I wasn’t able to live with it. Until last week, I have nothing on my accounts. I have no choice but to call a friend and try to borrow even a little amount.
Gladly, my friend was able to lend me some. He just received some cash after he sell future payments. I am confused on the reason he does that. I feel that he is not experiencing financial difficulty. To set things straight, out of curiosity, I asked him. He said: “I sell my annuity because I find a good investment opportunity and I don’t have sufficient amount for it.” He continued explaining that if still waits for the payments to mature, he will lose huge amount of bucks. And he has been waiting for a long time to save money, but was unable to do so. He makes this step so he can start the investment.
I think to sell payments for an investment opportunity that will yield higher revenues is a good step for him. And it is also a nice step because he was able to lend me money. (LOL!) But seriously, I like the way he thinks. He gives me an idea for that.
