Before, I used to think that I could live my life just renting a place for about three to four years. Last year is the first time I rented a place with somebody. Okay it’s actually my first time as well. The thing is, I haven’t experience any difficulty in our place before as the owner takes care of everything such as paying the bills, repairs and maintenance and so much more.
I just encountered problems when we decided to go back here in our hometown. I realized that it is indeed difficult to look for an affordable perfect place. Also, I was able to appreciate the importance of owning a house. It’s actually our second transfer since we get in here and we are planning to transfer again after our contract expires. There are so many problems renting houses. And I could not do anything I want to change the look of the house.
Although busy, wifey always checked for affordable home loans that will fit our budget. We taught that instead of paying the rent, we can pay it for the monthly amortization. The process may take longer, but the house will be ours in the long run unlike paying for the rent that will never be ours.
Not long ago, wifey’s friend invited her to apply for home loan. But, I refused and stop her from doing so. I thought we could save from the interest if we will pay in spot cash. However, time is running and I realize that by the time I was able to save enough money, the supposedly term already ended and I already paid huge chunk of money for the rent. I feel that it is better to get it now and not in the future.
