coin photography book
It’s a happy Saturday again. I wake up really early even though I slept really late because wiffy has tons and tons of must do things this day. I have to make sure I was able to blog about something before she wakes up. I have to take advantage of the part that she wakes up really late. She likes sleeping a lot. Hehehe!
So, where would I begin? Okay, I think I have to start with the book I found about photography of rare gold coin and almost all kinds of coins. Even though I am not posting a lot of my photos here, I can brag that I am a photographer in the making. I can’t show most of my shots because I feel they aren’t good enough. Probably in the future when I already acquired a lot of photography skills.
The book I am talking about is called Numismatic Photography by Mark Goodman and published by Zyrus Press. As the use of the Internet and electronic visual media becomes more of a vital part of the coin industry, photographing coins, either raw or slabbed, has become an increasing concern with collectors and dealers. This book teaches the reader in an easy-to-read and visually rich guidebook format on how to image quality photos of coins using digital camera. This sounds fun; I can make use of the idea in photographing other items instead of coins.
Moving forward, the author addresses typical problems faced by the photographer, recommends ways of improvements and offers specific tips and techniques for raw and slabbed coins. Actually, the author himself is loves to collect photograph coins using digital cameras. That is probably the reason he was able to come up with his book. Many said that Goodman’s first numismatic book is an impressive addition to the coin collector’s arsenal of knowledge. It is then recommended for anyone interested in making better coin photos, or in learning how these images are made. I think members coin collectors club will love this book.
I have to finish everything fast now. I can hear wiffy’s movements from above. I might not be able to finish doing my post for all my blogs, if she wakes up. She already scheduled a lot of things today asking her to postpone it will definitely upset her.
